ChessPals Awarded Grant of $3,500 from Marin County Community Service Fund on May 4, 2023

Thank you to the Marin County Administrator for recommending that ChessPals receive a grant for $3,500 in the FY22-23 cycle. The grant will be used to help pay for chesskids.com gold memberships for all our students and uschess.org memberships for our students who compete in rated tournaments. We really appreciate all our donors who support our mission of expanding access to chess with free after school chess lessons to elementary school students. Learning chess has been shown to improve academic performance which is especially important now to offset the learning loss suffered from covid.
